Desactivar el modo mantenimiento

Logotipo de drupalRecientemente hemos actualizado la versión de drupal del sitio. Para ello, como es habitual, hemos activado el modo de mantenimiento. Una vez finalizado el proceso hemos desactivado este modo, pero los usuarios no podían acceder a nuestras páginas debido a que seguían viendo el modo mantenimiento y el aviso correspondiente. Para solucionar este problema hemos seguido los siguientes pasos.

En primer lugar, y como es habitual, hemos buscado en Internet una posible solución. La que hemos encontrado es la que se encuentra en Drupal hispano y que nos lleva a la entrada sobre problemas con el site offline. La solución que nos da soluciona el problema accediendo directamente a la base de datos y, aunque puede ser una solución correcta, no nos parecía la más sencilla. Hay que indicar que en este caso no era necesario entrar como usuario administrador en la plataforma drupal, si no que se accedía directamente en la administración de la propia base de datos de la plataforma. Nosotros teníamos acceso como usuario administrador de drupal. Este acceso se puede realizar a partir de la URL dominio/?q=user.

Acto seguido lo que hemos hecho ha sido analizar la solución ofrecida en las modificaciones de la base de datos y hemos deducido que lo que realizaba en primer lugar era poner el sitio en modo online, o sea, desactivaba el modo mantenimiento. Esto lo hemos hecho directamente desde la opción Configuración > Desarrollo > Modo de mantenimiento y desmarcando el check de la página. Esta sería la ruta completa, aunque en modo mantenimiento, desde cualquier página se puede acceder al modo de mantenimiento cuando se encuentra activo.

En la imagen podemos ver el aviso de que se encuentra en modo mantenimiento y en la siguiente la pantalla a la que accedemos para desactivarlo y el check para activarlo y desactivarlo.

Este paso ya lo teníamos realizado, pero no se ejecutaba correctamente en las páginas de las visitas.

El siguiente paso, a partir de los accesos a la base de datos indicados en la página de drupal hispano, era acceder a la caché. No hemos sido tan selectivos como muestra esta página y la hemos vaciado de forma completa. En nuestro caso particular no ha sido excesivamente traumático ya que antes de realizar la actualización ya la habíamos vaciado para poder realizar la copia de seguridad de la base de datos y que de esta forma ocupase menos, por lo que volvemos a vaciar la caché. Para ello accedemos a la página correspondiente a partir de Configuración > Desarrollo > Rendimiento y pulsamos sobre el botón Vaciar todas las cachés. Con esto eliminamos la caché, que se ha de regenerar y permitimos que los usuarios puedan acceder de nuevo a la plataforma.
