Logotipo de drupal.Muchas veces, cuando creamos un nuevo tipo de contenido en drupal, nos planteamos el introducir contenido. Existe un módulo de esos que nos preguntamos comono hemos utilizado antes y que se llama devel que nos permite insertar contenido de forma automática, pudiendo comprobar el funcionamiento de la presentación de varios de estos contenidos, así como el funcionamiento de las vistas que genermos para controlar la presentación.

Instalación del módulo

El módulo lo podemos encontrar en http://drupal.org/project/devel. Lo instalamos como el resto de módulos en nuestra plataforma.

Activamos las opciones para poder generar contenido. La opción Devel, que actúa como base para el resto y Devel generate, que permite la generación automática de contenido.

Para nuestros propósitos podemos dejar la configuración que aparece por defecto.

Generación de contenido

Para la generación del contenido accedemos a y accederemos a una página con todas las opciones disonibles para la generación. Hemos de ir completando este formulario para definir como se generará el contenido.

Definición de parámetros para la generación de contenido.

Los campos que hemos de complerar son los siguientes:

  • Tipo de contenido. Marcamos el tipo o los tipos de contenido a generar.
  • Delete all content. Lo marcamos si queremos eliminar todo el contenido previo.
  • How many nodes would you like to create? Número de nodos a crear.
  • How far back in time should the nodes be dated? Nos permite seleccionar el periodo de tiempo desde el que se ha de ir gerando el contenido. Puede ser hasta de un año anterior.
  • Maximum number of comments per node. En caso de que queramos comentarios en los nodos nos permite indicar el número máximo de los mismos. En caso de indicar comentarios no se genera contenido de los nodos.
  • Max word length of title nodes. Indica el número máximo de palabras para los títulos. Nos permite seleccionar si queremos la creación de los url (Add statistics for each noce) y activar las estadísticas (Add statistics for each node), aunque estos campos no suelen ser necesarios, a menos que queramos comprobar precisamente esto.
  • Set language on. Este campo es útil para sitios multilenguaje.

Con esto ya tenemos preparado el generador  de contenidos. Pulsamos sobre Generate y podremos comprobar sobre nuestra página como se ha generado el nuevo contenido.

El contenido se genera en latín y sirve para eso, comprobar como queda el texto generado en los diferentes tipos de contendo.
