Cómo convertir una página en una aplicación con Google Chrome

Logotipo de Google ChromeGoogle Chrome es el navegador más utilizado actualmente, pero tiene algunas utilidades que no son muy conocidas aunque nos pueden ser de gran utilidad. Una de ellas es la de permitir crear aplicaciones a partir de las páginas que visitamos.

El proceso es muy sencillo, y basta con visitar con este navegador la página y pulsar sobre el menú de Chrome en la opción Más herramientas > Añadir al escritorio..., en ordenadores Windows la opción se llama Más herramientas > Añadir a la barra de tareas....

Y con esto ya nos aparece como una aplicación más. En Windows en nuestro menú de inicio y en sistemas Linux en la opción de menú Otros, con el logotipo correspondiente a la aplicación.

El aspecto final será el de una aplicación web, pero sin barra de navegación ni ninguno de los otros elementos de un navegador.

De este modo no tenemos que cargar nuestras páginas habituales en el navegador en diferentes pestañas, sinó que las tenemos como diferentes aplicaciones y cada una con su logotipo.

Hemos hecho los ejemplos con la página salalondon.info, pero lo mismo nos puede servir para otras aplicaciones como TweetDeck.
